Learning with Smart Technology: Language Learning Partner Program for Rural Junior High Schools and Community High Schools

AI雙語學伴Learning Together: AI & Bilingual Learning Buddy Program for Rural Areas

Is Learning Limited to Classrooms and Textbooks?
Of course not! Post-pandemic, the proliferation of online learning platforms has left learners overwhelmed and uncertain. With technology’s role in advancing human development, solving challenges, and facilitating learning, this program aims to train college students in effectively using technology to guide and teach high school students from rural and community areas. By combining AI-powered language learning platforms with human interaction, the program fosters a symbiotic learning experience between college student buddies and younger learners.

Program Goals

The initiative aligns with the national "2030 Bilingual Nation Policy Blueprint" and the 108 Curriculum Guidelines, emphasizing English and foreign language skills. It seeks to address challenges faced by rural schools, such as resource scarcity, lack of qualified teachers, low student motivation, absence of goal orientation, and difficulties in fostering independent learning habits.

Key Objectives

  1. Achieving SDG 4 - Quality Education:

    • Ensure students' right to education.
    • Cultivate a sustainable worldview and nurture lifelong learners.
  2. Advancing SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities:

    • Channel resources into underserved rural and community schools.
    • Promote international perspectives among high school students, encouraging respect for diverse cultures.

By pairing college students with younger learners and leveraging AI language platforms, the program ensures that language learning transcends textbooks. Instead, it becomes a practical, integral part of daily life, empowering students to communicate confidently and engage globally.
